Ashiana

Ashiana Network offers advice, support and safe housing for South Asian, Turkish and Iranian women in east London who are victims of domestic violence and forced marriage. It also provides counselling for young people who may have been affected by domestic violence and training for professionals. They believe working with Pilotlight helped them develop and secure funding for the long-term.

Fine Cell Work

This charity helps prisoners return to society with skills to make them productive. Working with Pilotlight, they developed a new mission statement, a plan for sustainability, and nine clear and measurable objectives.

Globetown

Globetown Learning Community is a new charity operating out of Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets. Being in the one of the most deprived areas in the country, Globetown aims to improve young people's life chances through education. Many of the families they help have low incomes, with a history of high unemployment and little experience of children staying on in secondary and further education.

JusB

JusB is a charity which aims to help young people particularly in their teenage years and provide them with a brighter future. They are based in Bromley and operate through a youth centre as well as outreach work in the local community. JusB started in 2003 after a local youth worker identified the growing need of young people around her for somewhere to go on evenings and week-ends. Rachel Archer is now the CEO of JusB and has high ambitions for the charity which sees about a 1,000 young people a year.

London Youth Support Trust helps young people start businesses. Pilotlight worked with LYST to create a new strategic plan and to improve fundraising and results tracking.

Media for All

Media for All teaches young people from deprived parts of Lewisham about broadcasting, including how to make radio and television programmes. Through this experience many disadvantaged young people are able to get into education and employment. Director Alestir Waller believes Pilotlight has helped Media for All grow at a faster, but more sustainable pace and help more young people.

Unlock

Unlock is a unique charity which helps reformed offenders to restart their lives in the community and lead a life without crime. It leads the way in terms of anti-discrimination legislation and financial advice for former prisoners. It was established in 1999 and its President is Lord David Rambotham, the Former Chief Inspector of Prisons.
